Fastener components and panel preparation
The first drawing identifies the knob, ferrule, press-in TurnLock body and matching press-in buckle.
The two panels require different preparations: Panel 1 receives the TurnLock body, while Panel 2 receives the buckle.
PASO 1
Prepare el Panel 1 y el Panel 2.
Produce both panel openings according to the dimensions and tolerances shown in the technical drawing. The openings are not identical because they receive different components.
Panel 1: TurnLock body
Panel 1 receives the press-in body of the LOPCPTTLWO0810ZP.
The drawing shows a nominal opening of Ø 7.00 mm with the indicated tolerance. Confirm this dimension on the current drawing before manufacturing the panel.
Panel 2: buckle
Panel 2 receives the press-in buckle that engages with the TurnLock pin.
The drawing shows a nominal opening of Ø 6.50 mm with the indicated tolerance. The buckle must remain centred beneath the fastener.

Inspect both panels before installation
Before pressing in the components, confirm that:
- Both openings match the specified dimensions and tolerances
- Panel 1 and Panel 2 have the required material thicknesses
- The openings are free from excessive burrs and sharp edges

PASO 2
Press the TurnLock body into Panel 1
Place the TurnLock on a suitable anvil with its smooth operating surface correctly supported. Position Panel 1 over the press-in section of the fastener.
Align the punch with the centre of the TurnLock and apply a controlled vertical force. Keep the punch, panel and fastener aligned throughout the operation.
Excessive force or incorrect support may distort the panel, damage the fastener or restrict the quarter-turn movement.
PASO 3
Press the buckle into Panel 2
Position the buckle in the prepared Panel 2 opening and press it into place according to the orientation shown in the component drawing.
The buckle should sit evenly against the panel and remain centred beneath the TurnLock pin. Incorrect alignment can cause difficult operation or prevent complete locking.
PASO 4
Compruebe las posiciones desbloqueadas y bloqueadas.
Bring Panel 1 and Panel 2 together and verify that the TurnLock pin is centred above the buckle.
In the unlocked position, the pin is released and the two panels can be separated. Press the head and rotate it approximately a quarter-turn to engage the pin with the buckle.
In the locked position, the panels should be retained securely without excessive looseness, deformation or operating force.
